Operating Issues is Labor Shortages, Cost Containment and Increased Competition. Second, Marketing Issues is market Segmentation and Overlapping Brands and Increased Guest Sophistication. Next, Technological Issues like Interactive Reservation Systems, Guest-room Innovation, Data Mining and Yield Management. And last issues, the Economic Issues. The Economic issues like Globalization and The Nation’s Economy. The trends in tourism industry are SMERFs, Tourist Friendly Destinations and Emerging Types of Tourism. First, SMERFs is travel for Social, Military, Education, Religious and Fraternity reason. The Tourist Friendly Destinations is divided into two parts like tourist with special needs and the differently-abled tourist. The Emerging Types of Tourism is film tourism, Wine Tourism, Cruise Tourism, Underwater Tourism and Extreme Tourism
